After a commercially successful Rock On!! and critically acclaimed Luck By Chance, actor-director Farhan Akhtar is ready with his third film as a lead actor.

He is ready to release romantic thriller Karthik Calling Karthik that has a mysterious crank caller Karthik spooking out the on screen Karthik played by Farhan.

He spoke to CNN-IBN about the new film.

Who is this other Karthik, are you doing a double role or something?

Unfortunately for you I wont be able to tell you that because the suspense of the film is about who this Karthik is but lets meet after the release and have coffee and we can discuss this strange phenomenon.

Tell us a little more about the story of Karthik?

He is low in confidence and it results into the world perceives you the way you perceive yourself. And then he suddenly starts getting this call from the mysterious Karthik and it changes his life?

Your film is having a head on collision with Teen Patti and the Big B?

I think we have stopped thinking about it that way, it is obvious that films will release on the same date. Teen Patti looks like a very different film than ours and I hope people appreciate it too.

There are a lot of people out there who really miss you as a director so when is Farhan the director making a comeback?

I am in prep for my next film which is the sequel to Don, we start in October. I know its been long, its been four years but the film will be ready and will be seen in no time.
