One doesn't expect Farhan Akhtar to be
portraying the role of a struggler on screen. After all he has been born to an illustrious family and has enjoyed the luxuries of life. Since he
himself has never struggled to reach where he is today, how could he portray the emotions of a struggler in LUCK BY CHANCE?
"I won't say that
I have never struggled. Maybe if you have read about it somewhere, it is wrong because I was perhaps misquoted. I too have had my fair share of
struggle, whether it was becoming a producer, director, actor or a singer. Everyone goes through this phase, regardless of the background", says
Farhan Akhtar as he gets ready for the final leg of the promotion of this Zoya Akhtar directed film which is releasing on 30th January.
He may
have struggled but still it would be relatively different from that of a man on the street who wants to make it big, isn't it?
"Yes, it is
different", he nods in agreement, "But then I have closely interacted with many such folks over all these years. I have picked up quite a few
nuances from them, instilled them in my body language, taken cues from how they react to a situation."
Sharing the experience that he has
gained in his close interaction with people from the industry over the years, Farhan says, "As a director I have met so many actors and technicians
who want to make a name for them. When you meet them, you realize that behind that smile they put on their face, there is a sense of frustration that
starts gathering in after a point in time. Still, they keep believing in themselves and come up with a never say die kind of attitude. That's the
essence of LUCK BY CHANCE."
